Innovative 36" Extendable Tip-Down, Green Description
Each tip-down comes in 3 parts that screw together in to one:
1. The carrying tube which holds the rod and base
2. The rod which is 20" long and is stiff but with some bend for superior hooking.
3. The base which supports the tip-down, harnesses the rod, and screws in to the carrying case.

The carrying tube is hard plastic. It has an extendable rod holder that can be set as high as 36" or as low as 24". On windy days you may want to set it lower to cut down on wind sheer. The extendable holder has a strap for easily pulling the holder out of the tube and for easy handling when moving your set-up. It slides up and down easily but will never slip. The holder is notched which the prongs of the rod sit in.

The rod is 20" and has line guides including a special line guide just above the reel to ensure straight smooth drag and to prevent tangle. The reel has a folding handle for easily reeling in your bait. Each reel can handle over 100 feet of line. The reel easily lets out drag.

When a fish strikes, the rod goes down and stays down as long as the fish is on. If the fish lets go then the rod will come back up. If the rod tips down to it's maximum position then the fish can freely take line out. The rod sits deeply notched in to the holder on the extendable arm by two stiff metal prongs. It cannot come off the arm when tipped down.

The base features 4 extending arms that support the tip-down on the ice. When folding the base arms in, it creates a harness for the rod. The rod slips between the arms and the arms snap in to a 4-notch "rod lock" that surrounds the pole. The rod lock also has a place to put your hook. Once each arm is snapped in to the rod lock around the pole the base slides in to the carrying case and then screws tight.

You now have a lightweight 24" tube that is 2" in diameter and can fit easily in to your sled, backpack, tote, etc... ALL ONE PIECE!

You would spend a fortune trying to create tip-downs with the craftsmanship that these have!

Innovative 36" Extendable Tip-Down, Green Applications - Help
Bass/Walleye Perfect for bass and walleyes. The tip-down can handle the larger minnows used for these type of fish without going down. Tip-Downs can deadly for walleyes that have a reputation of grabbing the bait and sitting there with it.
Bluegill Would work well for bluegills.
Crappie Awesome for Crappies especially after dark. Drill two holes about four feet apart and put your lantern between them. Set up the rods and wait for them to tip over. The 36" extendable arm makes it easy to grab the rod and jerk without bending over.
Perch Tip-Downs are widely used for perch fishing as perch tend to shy away from tip-ups or drop the minnows when they feel the resistance of the flag. These have no resistance. They just tip over as soon as a fish grabs them.
Pike Family Hand over hand retrieval would make them difficult to use for pike. They are also not made for heavy line.
Trout Would also work well for trout.
Special Tips for this Item
• Green Tip-Downs are easier to see on days when there is no snow on the ice.

• If you are not familiar with tip-downs, the fish cannot be reeled in. They are made for hand over hand retrieval. There are 2 reasons. One, you want the rod to be as light as possible so the fish can easily pull it down. Two, the rod would technically qualify as a jigging pole and not a strike signaling device (i.e. like a tip-up).

• Each rod has a hollow end with a cap where you can easily store hooks and sinkers so you do not have to keep running back and forth to your shanty to change your set-up. This comes in handy when fish are aggressive and swallow the hook or you want to quickly try a different rig. You can also use the storage area to add more weight to the rod if you are fishing in deep water and want to use heavier sinkers to get down there faster.
